Technical Overview
This ground-based tracking unit uses a conduction-cooled Power PC single board computer with a customized VME64 backplane, receiving and transmitting data over Ethernet to multiple subsystems. It interfaces with incremental and absolute encoders through 16 digital inputs/outputs, 8 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs, and multiple serial, Ethernet, CAN and SSI ports, running embedded software validated to DO-178B Level C.
