Technical Overview
The KSHATRA MS10 Cloud Lidar transmits a 1064 nm laser and receives the reflected signal through a Cassegrain telescope and beam concentrator onto an avalanche photodiode, digitizing at 40 MSPS on a high-speed UltraScale FPGA. A motorized gimbal points the system across the full azimuth and from -20° to +90° elevation, in a temperature-controlled, IP66-rated enclosure with Ethernet/WiFi connectivity to a LabVIEW-based host GUI.
